The organic chicken that we use in our chicken and ham pies is reared in the nearby Blackdown Hills. This constant activity results in healthy, well-formed muscles that in turn result in flavoursome meat with great texture and definition. It's that sort of meat that you need in a pie: meat with lots of character and a big wallop of taste.
Before cooking your chicken and ham pie, take it out of the freezer and let it thaw completely. Then brush the lid with some beaten egg, pop the pie into a preheated oven at 180°C and cook for about 20 minutes. When it's crisp and golden and you can smell the irresistible chicken and ham filling, you'll know it's ready. So don't waste any time – tuck in!
