Meaty with added Bones for perfect broths and soups.-Great for stewing
You really don't get a cut much more traditional and tasty than oxtail. Packed with rich, distinctive flavour Coombe Farm's organic oxtail is surprisingly meaty – perfect for a classic oxtail soup, clear broth or hearty warming casserole. The oxtail's unique composition offers meat, yes, but also the gelatinous connecting fibres and bone marrow that melt into the gravy imparting unrivalled flavour and providing a natural thickener, too.
Allowing our cattle to free range while grazing a natural diet of grass, clover and herbs is central to the way we rear animals at Coombe Farm Organic. The tail of a free-ranging cow is a crucial piece of equipment and does a lot of swishing during it's life. It'll swish to see off flies, to express contentment or signal irritation. The more swishing it does the more muscular, meaty and delicious it becomes.

At Coombe Farm we believe in sustainability. And we live it. Regarding our packaging:
Your delivery box is made of 100% recycled paper and is 100% recyclable.
To keep your order frozen we use ice packs which will retain a low temperature for a long period of time. Reuse them for a picnic or simply snip, empty the water and pop in your plastic recycling.
We use paper pulp sheets to insulate the box. They are great for craft projects or can also simply be recycled with paper waste.
We deliver our organic produce Tuesday – Saturday and you will be able to choose your preferred delivery day at checkout. The delivery charge is £3.95.
Freezing is the most natural way of preserving food. And as here at Coombe Farm Organic we believe in slow-grown, healthy food, a form of preservation that doesn’t need artificial additives gets a big tick from us.
We use blast freezing to preserve all of our meat products. It’s done at the point of butchery, to temperatures of -26°C. This locks in all the freshness, flavour and nutritional value and means you get the longest possible shelf life at home once you’ve defrosted it.
It also guarantees it will arrive with you in tiptop condition - confidently delivering fresh meat would be much more challenging.
All of our meat is butchered in our in-house butchery by our small team. This means we have full control of what is cut and also means that we can accommodate more requests from our customers.
You will find any product ingredients on the relevant product pages.

The dark colour and deep flavour of a really old-fashioned oxtail soup is the result of lengthy bubbling of the bones and meat with root veg in rich beef stock. After a good two or three hours of gently simmering, the fat and marrow will have melted away and the meat will have fallen from the bone, creating the richest heartiest soup. For a nostalgic stew, with a dense, sticky gravy, oven cook the oxtail for four or five hours in stock and red wine with tomatoes and woody herbs. Add broad beans, scotch bonnet chilli and earthy nutmeg for a traditional Jamaican alternative.

Not had a chance to cook this yet, but it is beautifully packaged and a lovely size pack for me, not too big. Looking forward to enjoying it soon. It was very good value for money as surprisingly it was cheaper than buying from the market with less fat on the mat. I will be calling for more soon.It was very good value for money as surprisingly it was cheaper than buying from the market with less fat on the mat. I will be calling for more soon.
Very small for 2 people. In our house that would barely serve one, but no problem as it will go in with something else for a lovely winter-warmer.
Very pleased with the surprise box.

So happy to be able to buy turkey all year round. Searched the web to find a source and was very pleased to find you. The minced turkey we have tried so far was excellent. Many thanks for the quick service.
The chicken bone broth is amazing. I wish I could say the same for the other items I bought. I didn't enjoy the bacon. It actually tasted a bit off and I threw the rest away. The turkey mince is good, but very, very expensive. I know it is impossible to do any other when you buy food online, but the amount of packaging needed to transport the items through the post really does put me off ordering again. If only I lived closer.
Order handled efficiently and arrived on time. Packaging of a high standard plus contents well wrapped in frozen ice packets plus extra blanket to ensure freshness.
Order included beef biltong packets but only of limited size/weight. Suggestion: Increase weight range rather than overpaying for small quantities! Delicious none the less!
