Exactly what you need to make delicately flavoursome game bone broth
Extracting every last drop of flavour and goodness from the carcasses we butcher is at the heart of the Coombe Farm Organic philosophy. That's why we love to make stock from our organic venison bones. As well as drawing out all of the taste, the bones infuse the broth with marrow, collagen and connective tissue. They melt away into your bone broth as you cook it, leaving you with a stock that can be drunk on its own or used as a flavour-enhancing base for lots of different recipes.
If you prefer a more neutral broth that can be used with all sorts of meats, make your own with our Organic Lamb Bones which are high in collagen or grab a ready-made pouch of Organic Bone Broth.
Animals that have been reared in an organic environment produce meat that's as clean as any you can find. Coombe Farm venison comes from free-range, grass-fed deer that graze land that's fertilized naturally, without chemicals. This means there's no chemical taint passed on through their meat. Bone broth has long been renowned for its comforting properties and versatility and it's also a great way to make use of every last bit of a butchered carcass.

At Coombe Farm we believe in sustainability. And we live it. Regarding our packaging:
Your delivery box is made of 100% recycled paper and is 100% recyclable.
To keep your order frozen we use ice packs which will retain a low temperature for a long period of time. Reuse them for a picnic or simply snip, empty the water and pop in your plastic recycling.
We use paper pulp sheets to insulate the box. They are great for craft projects or can also simply be recycled with paper waste.
We deliver our organic produce Tuesday – Saturday and you will be able to choose your preferred delivery day at checkout. The delivery charge is £3.95.
Freezing is the most natural way of preserving food. And as here at Coombe Farm Organic we believe in slow-grown, healthy food, a form of preservation that doesn’t need artificial additives gets a big tick from us.
We use blast freezing to preserve all of our meat products. It’s done at the point of butchery, to temperatures of -26°C. This locks in all the freshness, flavour and nutritional value and means you get the longest possible shelf life at home once you’ve defrosted it.
It also guarantees it will arrive with you in tiptop condition - confidently delivering fresh meat would be much more challenging.
All of our meat is butchered in our in-house butchery by our small team. This means we have full control of what is cut and also means that we can accommodate more requests from our customers.
You will find any product ingredients on the relevant product pages.
Can't Find the Answer?
If you cannot find the answer to your question and would like to speak to someone contact us and we will be happy to help.
Making broth or stock from your organic venison bones can be as simple as covering the bones in water, covering with a lid and leaving to very gently simmer for a good few hours. This will produce a delicately flavoured and very pure broth. Alternatively, you can start to introduce and layer in other flavours to produce a more complex result. Herbs such as parsley and tarragon introduce fresh flavours, while thyme and rosemary make a more pungent stock. Roasting the bones before you boil them can introduce greater depth of flavour, too.

Lovely to add to a mutton or lamb curry to give it a bit of added flavour. I’m a huge fan of not wasting any part of the animal. Wish they offered mutton bones (*hint*)Lovely to add to a mutton or lamb curry to give it a bit of added flavour. I’m a huge fan of not wasting any part of the animal. So happy to be able to buy turkey all year round. Searched the web to find a source and was very pleased to find you. The minced turkey we have tried so far was excellent. Many thanks for the quick service.
The chicken bone broth is amazing. I wish I could say the same for the other items I bought. I didn't enjoy the bacon. It actually tasted a bit off and I threw the rest away. The turkey mince is good, but very, very expensive. I know it is impossible to do any other when you buy food online, but the amount of packaging needed to transport the items through the post really does put me off ordering again. If only I lived closer.
Order handled efficiently and arrived on time. Packaging of a high standard plus contents well wrapped in frozen ice packets plus extra blanket to ensure freshness.
Order included beef biltong packets but only of limited size/weight. Suggestion: Increase weight range rather than overpaying for small quantities! Delicious none the less!
