Organic Pork Escalopes

Schnitzel heaven!

We'll admit it, there's something a bit '70s about the pork escalope, but don't let that put you off. Lean, tender and full of delicate flavour, Coombe Farm Organic pork escalopes are so versatile, tasty and super-quick to cook, we thinks it's time for a renaissance. Providing vital protein and packed with zinc, iron and B12, escalopes are an easy way to eat well. Our butchers have taken choice cuts, thoroughly trimmed them and bashed them flat so you don't have any prep to do.

At Coombe Farm Organic, our pork is bred and reared in a sustainable, high-welfare system by a farmer who's Soil Association certified organic. Pigs that live in outdoor systems such as this are active and playful. The idea that pigs are lazy is a myth. In reality they're mischievous and high-spirited, they love to gallop around in a pack and get up to all sorts of high jinks. That said, they're also quite partial to snoozing in the sun or wallowing in a cooling mud bath. What's important is they have the choice and the opportunity to do whichever they please, whenever they please.

The all-time classic way to enjoy pork escalopes is to transform them into breaded schnitzel and pan-frying them. The combination of the crispy crumb with the super-thin, tender pork is so good you sort of can't believe it's so simple. To amp up your schnitzel and achieve the crunchiest coating try using Japanese Panko breadcrumbs. Or go for a bit of Kiev action by folding over the meat to create a pocket to stuff with garlicky butter or indulgent blue cheese, then crumbing and frying as usual.

Product FAQs

  • We deliver our organic produce Tuesday – Saturday. Delivery charges for weekday delivery are £3.95 and Saturday delivery £6.95. You can also select pre-12 delivery option which is at a higher rate of £6.95 for weekday delivery and £8.95 for Saturday. If you spend over £80 you will receive free weekday delivery. The cut off period to get your order the next day is 12pm any order placed after that time will be delivered after 2 days. For example if you order after 12pm on Tuesday you will receive your box on Thursday.

  • Our products are sent to our customers frozen because when we started the business we looked into convenience for our customers. We found that sending the produce frozen meant that they could order for instance a month’s worth of produce and could go into their freezer until they are ready to use it. It also meant that there was less risk to the meat whilst been delivered as fresh meat can be delicate and risky.

  • All of our meat is butchered in house. In December 2018 our in-house butcher was built which means that we have full control of what is cut and also means that we can accommodate more requests from our customers.

You will find all the ingredients on the relevant product pages.

  • We have a dedicated page which explains all the different cuts and where they come from. Find out more here www.coombefarmorganic.co.uk
