Pork gammon Just what's needed for every day of the festive season!
Christmas tree? Check. Presents? Check. Organic smoked gammon? Check! When it comes to festive feasting, a traditional smoked gammon really is one of the stars of the show. Whether you have it as a main meal on Christmas Eve, as cold cuts on a party buffet or picked from the fridge in those peckish moments, gammon always hits the spot.
Coombe Farm Organic's smoked gammon starts with our organic, free-range pigs. They're a cross between two native breeds – the Saddleback and the Gloucester Old Spot – which means they produce meat with intense flavour that's beautifully balanced with just the right amount of fat. Leg joints are brined then smoked following a traditional method at a family run smokery here in Somerset. We never use nitrates, nitrites or any other chemicals in our smoked gammon, so you can be certain that the distinctive flavour is purely natural.
Ingredients: organic pork (99%), sea salt, organic raw cane sugar

At Coombe Farm we believe in sustainability. And we live it. Regarding our packaging:
Your delivery box is made of 100% recycled paper and is 100% recyclable.
To keep your order frozen we use ice packs which will retain a low temperature for a long period of time. Reuse them for a picnic or simply snip, empty the water and pop in your plastic recycling.
We use paper pulp sheets to insulate the box. They are great for craft projects or can also simply be recycled with paper waste.
We deliver our organic produce Tuesday – Saturday and you will be able to choose your preferred delivery day at checkout. The delivery charge is £3.95.
Freezing is the most natural way of preserving food. And as here at Coombe Farm Organic we believe in slow-grown, healthy food, a form of preservation that doesn’t need artificial additives gets a big tick from us.
We use blast freezing to preserve all of our meat products. It’s done at the point of butchery, to temperatures of -26°C. This locks in all the freshness, flavour and nutritional value and means you get the longest possible shelf life at home once you’ve defrosted it.
It also guarantees it will arrive with you in tiptop condition - confidently delivering fresh meat would be much more challenging.
All of our meat is butchered in our in-house butchery by our small team. This means we have full control of what is cut and also means that we can accommodate more requests from our customers.
You will find any product ingredients on the relevant product pages.

To cook your smoked gammon joint, first boil for 20 minutes per 500g, plus 20 minutes extra. You can add extra flavour to the cooking liquor with all sorts of Christmassy spices, oranges and lemons and even a good splash of cider. Once boiled, smear on your choice of glaze – honey and mustard, marmalade or maple syrup are all good choices – and roast until just starting to brown (about 20 minutes) in a moderate oven. Make sure you keep an eye on it, though, as sugary glazes can easily catch and start charring.

This was very good. I simmered with aromats. Then roasted with a bergamot marmalade glaze. So, so good and the stock made a delicious soup with lentils, beans and vegetables. Leftover gammon made wonderful sandwiches and salad. This was very good. I simmered with aromats. Then roasted with a bergamot marmalade glaze. Good quality smoked gammon for boiling/roasting, unfortunately the strings got loose and fell off so the meat rolled out and didn't make for a nice presentation.Good quality smoked gammon for boiling/roasting, unfortunately the strings got loose and fell off so the meat rolled out and didn't make for a nice presentation.

The ham was definitely the highlight of Christmas for my husband and all our visitors. Very good depth of taste and great to know it’s smoked without nitrites. Will be ordering again next year. So happy to be able to buy turkey all year round. Searched the web to find a source and was very pleased to find you. The minced turkey we have tried so far was excellent. Many thanks for the quick service.
The chicken bone broth is amazing. I wish I could say the same for the other items I bought. I didn't enjoy the bacon. It actually tasted a bit off and I threw the rest away. The turkey mince is good, but very, very expensive. I know it is impossible to do any other when you buy food online, but the amount of packaging needed to transport the items through the post really does put me off ordering again. If only I lived closer.
Order handled efficiently and arrived on time. Packaging of a high standard plus contents well wrapped in frozen ice packets plus extra blanket to ensure freshness.
Order included beef biltong packets but only of limited size/weight. Suggestion: Increase weight range rather than overpaying for small quantities! Delicious none the less!
