Really rich and rather indulgent, organic pork belly slices are delicious, succulent and hugely versatile. While you may be most familiar with pork belly in its bacon form, there's a whole lot more to this cut than just the streaky. This is a triple treat: firm, well-flavoured meat combines with melting fat and is topped by a delicate layer of crispy crackling. You can see for yourself that there's a fair ratio of fat in pork belly, but it's not gnarly, chewy fat. It's juicy and sweet, making belly a unique and distinctive piece of meat.
Traditional breed pigs (like the Saddleback and Gloucester Old Spot crosses we use) are known for growing slowly and producing tremendously delicious meat. They're also know for being a bit, well, fatty. If they weren't fatty we'd be worried because it's the relationship between the meat and the fat that makes pork so brilliant to cook with and delicious to eat. While you'll definitely want lean meat some days, if you want juicy, intense flavours, remember they probably come from the fat.

At Coombe Farm we believe in sustainability. And we live it. Regarding our packaging:
Your delivery box is made of 100% recycled paper and is 100% recyclable.
To keep your order frozen we use ice packs which will retain a low temperature for a long period of time. Reuse them for a picnic or simply snip, empty the water and pop in your plastic recycling.
We use paper pulp sheets to insulate the box. They are great for craft projects or can also simply be recycled with paper waste.

Freezing is the most natural way of preserving food. And as here at Coombe Farm Organic we believe in slow-grown, healthy food, a form of preservation that doesn’t need artificial additives gets a big tick from us.
We use blast freezing to preserve all of our meat products. It’s done at the point of butchery, to temperatures of -26°C. This locks in all the freshness, flavour and nutritional value and means you get the longest possible shelf life at home once you’ve defrosted it.
It also guarantees it will arrive with you in tiptop condition - confidently delivering fresh meat would be much more challenging.
All of our meat is butchered in our in-house butchery by our small team. This means we have full control of what is cut and also means that we can accommodate more requests from our customers.
You will find any product ingredients on the relevant product pages.

Organic pork belly slices may be quite a splattery proposition to cook, but they're well worth a bit of wiping up afterwards. Pan fry the slices until they're all-over brown, then add a sweet-sharp barbecue sauce of cider vinegar, tomato puree, garlic, soy sauce, grated ginger and brown sugar. Bubble vigorously until the sauce is sticky and thick. Serve with a citrussy slaw and sweetcorn salsa. Alternatively, season your pork belly slices and wrap them in foil. Bake in a low oven for a couple of hours before serving in Japanese ramen with a steaming miso broth, noodles, bean sprouts and a soft boiled egg.

Amazing flavour, gorgeous crackling, tender and moist - so easy to cook. We had 1 pack (4 slices) between 2 people which was a very good portion each, you could serve 1 slice per person but it is so gorgeous that for me 1 is just not enough !!Amazing flavour, gorgeous crackling, tender and moist - so easy to cook. Used this along with some beef brisket to make a chilli and it was delicious, same great quality as all of the items I've tried from Coombe Farm.Used this along with some beef brisket to make a chilli and it was delicious, same great quality as all of the items I've tried from Coombe Farm.
Tasty, not full of water like you get in the supermarkets, so they caramelise rather than boil and don't shrink. Amazing. Tasty, not full of water like you get in the supermarkets, so they caramelise rather than boil and don't shrink. Amazing.

So happy to be able to buy turkey all year round. Searched the web to find a source and was very pleased to find you. The minced turkey we have tried so far was excellent. Many thanks for the quick service.
The chicken bone broth is amazing. I wish I could say the same for the other items I bought. I didn't enjoy the bacon. It actually tasted a bit off and I threw the rest away. The turkey mince is good, but very, very expensive. I know it is impossible to do any other when you buy food online, but the amount of packaging needed to transport the items through the post really does put me off ordering again. If only I lived closer.
Order handled efficiently and arrived on time. Packaging of a high standard plus contents well wrapped in frozen ice packets plus extra blanket to ensure freshness.
Order included beef biltong packets but only of limited size/weight. Suggestion: Increase weight range rather than overpaying for small quantities! Delicious none the less!
