King Scallops are characterized by having two types of meat in one shell: the muscle adductor called "scallop", which is white and meaty, and the roe, called "coral", which is quite orange. You can serve scallops the Spanish way, baked with bread crumbs, ham, and onions, the Japanese style served the raw sashimi way, in soups or just natural, baked or cooked, also perfect in a seafood stew or risotto!

Scallops have lent their name to the culinary term "scalloped", which originally referred to seafood creamed and served hot in the shell. Scallops have a sweet and very pleasant taste, similar to oyster but a bit more nutty. They are superbly tender and succulent and a fancy eye-catcher on every plate. Why not spoiling yourself and your beloved ones!
